The National Council of the Lebanese Family








Started in 1992 by a special decree issued by the cabinet of ministers on 26|2|1992 announcing the establishment of a national day of the family – the first of March of every years. According to this, the national council of the lebanese family was founded.

Objectives

  • Deals with issues that interest the  lebanese family and make necessary studies to help find solutions.
  • Plans and executes programs that help raise the standard of  living of the lebanese family socially, financially and emotionally to help keep it united since it is the basic unit of Society.
  • Participates in programs and conferences that deal with family problems.
  • Celebrates the first of march as a national day of the family.

Activities of the Council

The council carried since its founding 18 conferences on the first of march of every year. These conferences dealt with the topic and matters that interest the Lebanese family specifically and the Lebanese Society in general.

Some of the topics that were discussed are

  • The family and the modern media
  • Family health and its impact on community health
  • Non sectarian education
  • The family and the environment
  • The family and civil education
  • The women between family and work
  • And other topics that deal with family problems.

A various number of lecturers participated in the different conferences each according to his or her specialization.
